Richfield Reaching offers the following Ministries:
KIDZ KLUB: Gathers each Sunday during the sermon. Infants and Babies are welcome to stay in the Sanctuary or go to the Fellowship Hall Family Area if needed. The KIDZ KLUB does have a Nursery on siteand parents are always welcome! Ages 0-8 gather with two trained leaders to have age-appropriate lessons. Children are never left alone with one leader and all leaders have criminal background checks and references. Children are encouraged to participate according to their comfort level. The KIDZ KLUB has an indoor sand table, piano, and more. We strive to make everyone feel welcome, included, and valued, despite differences. The KIDZ KLUB has an outdoor play area where they can snack at picnic tables, swing, slide, & play with other age-appropriate activities. Children are encouraged to engage in the Worship Service prior to leaving for their lessons. They learn to ring the historic Church Bell, assist with the children’s Prayer, & more!
Youth: Gather each Sunday during the sermon. Kids age 8-16 gather in the specially designed youth area in the Fellowship Hall. Catelynn Miller is our new Youth-Director. She is a mother in the Davison area. She brings a strong love for God and youth. Her father is also a Pastor and she was very active in her Church as a youth. They are ministered to by two leaders at all times as we look to protect all children and youth. They have access in the Fellowship Hall to restrooms, the kitchen, games, and more. Leaders share in an opening prayer, age-appropriate devotion, shared life stories/examples/connection, & an activity that relates to the topic. Youth may gather outside in the Picnic-Area pending weather, where they can engage in outdoor activities such as Basketball. Youth are present with the adults in the beginning and close of the service in the main Sanctuary. They actively participate in prayer, worship, & Holy Communion, prior to gathering separately. Youth are encouraged to ask questions and value One-Another despite varying life circumstances. In all things, we look to disciple them to be active in the Church/Faith Community, contribute to society and to the Body of Christ for the greater good.
Bible Study: Bible/Book Study meets from September through June in the Fellowship Hall. Currently, we meet on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30. All are welcome to join but do not have to read aloud if not comfortable. We encourage those unable to attend in person, to stay connected by joining us on Zoom. We strive to Grow In Grace, value others experience, actively listen, and support One-Another through the various life challenges people face. We desire to encourage each other through respect, prayer, and support. In addition, we meet in the Summer through Zoom but understand people will not be at every gathering due to vacations, schedules, and other commitments. Leadership is shared between Pastor Long and Lay Leader Joe Webb. We strive to keep politics out of discussion as we give to Caesar what is Caesars and follow the laws of the Land according to the teachings of Christ.
Community Walking Group: This group meets on Tuesdays from 11:30-12:30 PM, & on Fridays from 10:00-11:00 AM. We meet outside when the weather is pleasant and indoors when needed due to rain/wind/snow/ice/other. We just ask that dirty shoes be removed before walking in the Sanctuary upstairs. Domesticated Pets are welcome if leashed and safe with the general public. All are welcome to go at their own pace and duration. You are also welcome to use the chairs in the front of the Sanctuary for chair-exercises according to your comfort level.
